Foz do Iguaçu, Argentina – 14th February, 2004
Foz do Iguaçu This natural wonder is worthy of a visit.
The most amazing falls in South America. Located on the border
of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. Steve spitting rainbows. Again.

Buenos Aires, Argentina – 11th February, 2004
Steve´s bike parked at One Eyed Luis´house. (Five
years ago he lost his eye when a street thug tried to rob a random
stranger. Luis tried to stop them. In the process he got knifed
in the eye). What you see here is everything he has. He has lived
his humble life in this same hole in the wall for 15 years. Awesome
guy who knows everyone and everything. Story goes… years
ago he was a prime suspect in some huge political bombing that
went down in Buenos Aires and ever since he has lived on the street.
(Great story hey? Lacking detail I know but hey, you can’t
remember everything, unless of course you have done the Kevin
Trudeau Mega-Memory course, which I haven´t)
He was Steve´s moto-security guard for his time in Buenos
Aires. Steve was parked in one of the most dangerous streets in
town and thanks to Luis, absolutely nothing happened to his bike.
Luis is a living legend. (I am going to insert his address later
so you can visit him)

Buenos Aires, Argentina – 11th February, 2004
Hanging out with One Eyed Luis.

Buenos Aires, Argentina – 11th February,
2004
Shopkeeping in Buenos Aires is serious business.

Ushuaia, Argentina - 6th February, 2004
Ushuaia is a beautiful city located on the southern tip of South
America. It is famous for being the southern most city of
the world and for its untouched beauty and awe-inspiring mountain
peaks.

Ushuaia, Argentina – 5th January, 2004
The southern most city in the world. Finally we made it. All in
one piece (No-one has lost a limb yet). The boys in triumph at
making it to the southern most tip of the world all in one piece.
Two days later we left Ushuaia and rode just under 8000kms
in 12 days making it too Itacare, Brazil for Carnaval! We
arrived one day late, but better late than never!

Near Ushuaia, Argentina – 4th February, 2004
50kms from the southern most city in the world. The roads where
phenomenal if you hunger for dirt. Fanging at 100kms per hour,
soaring mountains closing in on every side, the road curves like
a drunken rattlesnake, and the air is pure oxygen. Except when
a nasty big logging truck comes past and distorts all vision for
at least a minute with it’s cyclonic dust trail. Damn logging
trucks. Bad logging trucks. Bad. Naughty trucks.

Outside Puerto Ibanez–29th January,
2004
On this fine day Marky Mark cracked his camera out for
some pearlers. Overwhelmed with emotion, such was the effect of
our surroundings, Mark locked his motorbike keys and camera box
keys inside his so called unbreakable camera case. Leaving Steve
to case the hood for a suitable hacksaw.

Pampa del Asador, Argentina – 29th
January, 2004
Mark has managed to acquire almost 20 flats on our journey. The
leader by 19. How is this possible? We have no idea. Mark and
Steve were stuck in the desert for 4 days without food or water
whilst attempting to fix his tyre. Initially his puncture was
caused by a spoke penetrating his tube. We moved 40kms through
various patching techniques. We even cut up an old car tyre and
lined a new tube with it to assist protection. Mark did not realize
until puncture number 8 three days later that the inside of the
tyre was ripped from the spoke and was pinching every new tube
inserted. F@!#$%@#$¨. Mark was insistent that he get out by
his own method. Stubborn bastard. They were starving.
Nearest place to buy a new 17inch rear tyre was 1500kms away by
dirt. After much debate Steve left the obstinate character to
find his own solution. He made a break for the nearest town,
Gdor Gregores, over 150kms away. Found three local Argentinean
lads who searched the whole town for new tyres and found none.
But they did find one… on another guy’s bike. Steve
convinced the guy that his tyre would look much better on Marks
bike. Steve now had a flat. Shit. Steve hitched a ride with a
local geezer back to Mark. Changed tyres and made it back to town
for a bar-b-que and a feed. Damn flats.

Argentina, within ten metres of Chile - 25th

Mark clearing the way for the first official Lost On Earth Crew
Land Crossing.
I heard that Chile is a really nice
place...
