Corazon, Belize, May 2005
Pulled off to the road to catch my final glimpse of the Caribbean
just bein'. A pirate on a bicycle stopped to admire my fine steed.
On his way to his boat to sail out and sink some Spanish Galleons.
The fruit boys. The Fine Phillies. Dem fellas. Those guys. Dreadlocks
instigate mischief. I might get myself some.
Westbys Cool Spot. the only place to eat your lemon pie. Damn
nice pie. The rasta boys were makin' da' bizness selling tropical
fruits. I decided to head over for an inspection. Hey brotha,
you want summa dis? He held a Phillies Cigar in his hand. But
he gave it a special name. Phillies Blunt. Well, I am not usually
a fan of cigars, but hey, I'll give it a whirl.
I had no choice but to consume a second lemon pie. they were so
good. I am feeling really hungry, and everything seems to taste
so good.. What the hey, I ate a third. At Westby's Coolspot life
is laidback. Cool if you will.
The Rasta Boys who ran the fruit stall had me under their control.
Whatever they said I did. Grab your arse with your hands and sing
R E S P E C T out loud brutha! I did. Take a photo of that old
grandma over there. She'll love it! I did. Pull your shirt up,
squeeze your nipples and....
This fine young extranjeiro has lived in Belize for the last five
years. He loves it. No wonder. If you come from the UK anythings
better.

This road as I am sure you have worked out, doesn't end. It cuts
straight across the Caribbean to some kind of Dancehall heaven
where Bob Marley is God. Palms trees, deserted beaches, fine young
ladies and gents, goodvibes. freerides, palm fringed bungalows,
too much lobster, sunshine all day, moonlight all night. I couldn't
turn back. If you never see me again you'll know where I went.
This is a sneak peek of that Bob Marley nirvana heaven thing I
